Featuring faster performance, Windows 11, and a larger display, the Microsoft 13" Multi-Touch Surface Pro 8 improves on its predecessor, the Surface Pro 7, for a powerful yet portable computing experience. The PixelSense Flow display now measures in at 13 inches, which is 11% larger than the Surface Pro 7's 12.3" display. It also has a 2880 x 1920 resolution (287 ppi), which is 10.8% more than the Surface Pro 7. Microsoft also made the screen 12.5% brighter. The display now supports Dolby Vision and Adaptive Color technology to provide a vibrant viewing experience. While the display comes with a 60 Hz default refresh rate, Microsoft gives you the option to push it to 120 Hz for smoother navigation, gameplay, and stylus experiences. The display still maintains 10-point touch support, so you'll be able to utilize all the multi-touch gestures as well as the Surface Slim Pen 2 (sold separately).
For performance, Microsoft has stated that the Surface Pro 8 provides up to 40% higher sustained CPU performance and up to 74% faster sustained graphics performance than the Surface Pro 7. The 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 4-Core (11th Gen) processor with integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics and 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM provides the power and performance you need to run the apps you need. The 256GB SSD allows for faster boot times. Like performance, connectivity is equally as important. The Surface Pro 8 supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.1 technology. There are also two Thunderbolt 4 ports, providing up to 40 Gb/s data-transfer rates. There is also a 5MP front camera that supports 1080p video and Windows Hello facial recognition. The 10MP rear camera supports 1080p and 4K video. It also features dual 2W speakers and Dolby Atmos support.
The Surface Pro 8 provides performance and connectivity without sacrificing portability. Weighing in at just under 2 pounds and measuring just 0.37" thin, the Surface Pro 8 is still portable and easy to travel with. The anodized aluminum body features a kickstand with a full-friction multi-position hinge of up to 165 degrees. You can also magnetically attach a Surface Pro Signature Keyboard (sold separately). The Surface Pro 8 can provide up to 16 hours runtime on a single charge (may vary depending on usage) and Microsoft states that the Surface Pro 8 can charge up to 80% in just one hour.
The Intel Evo platform is a design standard that includes technologies that are built to enhance laptop experiences. Features include 11th generation Intel Core processors, integrated Intel Iris X graphics that accelerate photo and video editing, razor-thin bezels on screens, built-in Wi-Fi 6, and nine or more hours of battery life with Full HD displays. Thunderbolt 4 technology allows you to transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible daisy-chained devices such as monitors and storage drives using a single cable.
The Surface Pro 8 features a 13" PixelSense Flow display with 10-point touch support. It has a 2880 x 1920 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio, resulting in 267 PPI (pixels per inch). The display also supports Dolby Vision and comes with an ambient color sensor, which automatically adjusts the color temperature and brightness based on the lighting conditions.
The screen has a default 60 Hz refresh rate, but you can bump it up to 120 Hz for smoother navigation while browsing as well as smoother gameplay while playing your favorite game. The higher refresh rate can also make using the Surface Slim Pen 2 (sold separately) more intuitive.
This system houses an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. Its quad cores can reach a stock speed of 2.4 GHz and be boosted up to 4.2 GHz.
